Third Party Insurance Backed Warranties |
The TRCC has defined what a Third Party Warranty (TPW) must do to be compliant with the rules that have been passed by the commission and can be found in Title 10, part 7 Chapter 303, Subchapter D of the Texas Administrative Code (TAC). Rule 303.251 of that chapter states: To effectively transfer a builder's liability under one of the warranties set forth in Chapter 304 of this title to an approved third-party warranty company, the third-party warranty company must agree to: If you buy an Insurance backed third party warranty, be certain that it is fully compliant with the TRCC.
