Comprehensive Risk Solutions, Inc. Who are we? Why are we here? |
The mission of Comprehensive Risk Solutions, Inc., (“CRS”) is to offer practical, cost effective ways to reduce the risk associated with operating as a Builder/Remodeler. CRS was founded to meet the needs of professional Home Builders and Remodelers in the ever changing regulatory, third party warranty, insurance and legal environment of the residential construction industry. CRS works as an intermediary between its Builder-Members and participating service providers to obtain and provide products and services required by Builder-Members. CRS has and will continue to negotiate special pricing with the service providers and will actively seek out new service providers to enhance the success of its Builders-Members. “It Just Makes Sense” With CRS you have one contact for access and support to select service providers: inspections, insurance, third party warranty, dispute resolution support, engineering services, and data storage, etc. “It Just Makes Sense” CRS also offers a variety of other services to its Builder-Members. These include certain services which a Builder or Remodeler may not routinely use but still require in today’s changing business and regulatory environment. CRS gives its Builder-Members the information and confidence to select one or more of the participating service providers to enhance each Builder-Member’s efficiency and professionalism, and therefore their bottom line. “It Just Makes Sense” John Hubbard, President of Comprehensive Risk Solutions, Inc. Prior to co-founding CRS, John was western region vice president with one of the major third party warranty companies in the United States. John has conducted risk management seminars for builders at many local builder associations as well as major builder trade shows across the country. John is also on the Executive Board of the National Association of Home Builders and the Chair of the Associates Committee for 2007. John is certified by the NAHB University of Housing to teach “risk management and insurance for residential contractors” and has taught this class at many HBA’s and BIA’s across the country. John is an active member of the Texas Association of Builders as well and a strong supporter of the Executive Officers Council. Scott M. Porter, Vice President of Comprehensive Risk Solutions Inc. Prior to co-founding CRS, Scott was President of Porter Contracting Co., Inc., a custom home builder and remodeler. Scott was one of the inaugural appointees to be a Commissioner on the Texas Residential Construction Commission. During his tenure as Commissioner, the commission developed the warranties and performance standards that are the model for the rest of the country. Scott has spoken to many groups about the regulatory aspects of the construction business and has been involved in the legislative process that created those regulations. Scott is on the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors, The Building Standards Task Force, Vision 20-20 and the Contracts Task Force at the Texas Association of Builders. CRS has retained Bob Bush as it’s outside General Counsel. The Bush Firm was founded 22 years ago and has been very active in construction law matters in Texas. Bob Bush was instrumental in the development of the Residential Construction Liability Act, The Texas Residential Construction Commission Act and is regarded as one of the leading experts on residential construction law in Texas. |
